March 7th, 2023 - Dear Manufacturers, Distributors, Wholesalers and Retail Customers,

I am Zachary Walls, President of Modus Brand. We are a leading manufacturer in the hemp industry. We are one of the companies leading the fundraising efforts to the Florida healthy alternatives association to make sure this bill does not get out of committee. Our Industry is under legislative attack. Florida bills 1475 & 1676 aim to effectively ban alternative cannabinoids.

In order to combat this legislative action we are aiming to raise $1,000,000 by March 10th. Modus Brand Has donated $100,000 for a total of $375,000 raised to date.

We understand everyone has different amounts that they can donate, please know we are all on the same side here, please give whatever you can. There are thousands of people in Virginia wishing they would’ve given money two weeks ago and saved their state, I do not want the same thing to happen to Florida.  We all have way too much to lose.  These bills will be released into committee this week. Our goal is to make sure they are killed in the committees and never even released to the floor let alone ever get to the governors desk.

As of this morning House Bill 1475 along with Senate companion bill 1676 have been filed in the Florida Legislature. These bills would limit edibles to less than .5mg per edible (functionally eliminating them)  and ban all vapes and pre rolls in the state of Florida.

These bills specifically ban all alternative cannabinoids including Delta 8, Delta 10, HHC and all known isomers in the state of Florida.  This bill would go into effect July 1st 2023. That is less than 4 months away.  The Florida Healthy Alternatives Association needs your help this week to make sure these industry destroying bills do not pass.  Millions of people depend on these alternative cannabinoids and thousands more people’s jobs depend on this industry.
